Greetings Brother,

     We pray this message finds you blessed and in good health.  The year 2024 is a very important year for both The Kappa Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc and The Kappa Alpha Alumni Association (KAAA).  For this year KAAA celebrates its 15th year of existence, but more notably our beloved Kappa Alpha Chapter celebrates its own Old Golden 50th Anniversary.  You are cordially invited to join us at three monumental events this year in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

 

     First, a celebration of the establishment of Black Greek life on the campus of the University of Alabama 50 years ago.  The Black Greek Reunion (BGR50) will take place June 21-22, 2024.  This event will feature the return of members from all National Pan-Hellenic Council members and promises to be a memorable gathering of fellowship, nostalgia, and celebration, set against the backdrop of our shared history and achievements.

     As we mark half a century of fraternity, sorority, and community, let's come together to honor our past, celebrate the present, and inspire the future. This reunion is not just a reflection of what we have achieved but a beacon for what we can accomplish together in the years to come.

     Second, as the season changes to Autumn, the Annual Black Alumni Weekend (BAW) Tailgate will be the highlight of the upcoming football season.  BAW will take place September 28, 2024.  Prepare for an unforgettable day of grilling, games, and good times as we gather to cheer, reminisce, and enjoy the company of fellow alumni. Whether you're coming to relive your college days, meet new friends, or simply soak in the vibrant energy of our community, the Tailgate promises something for everyone.

     Lastly, we are honored to extend a warm invitation to you for the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Kappa Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.  KA50 will take place December 5-8, 2024.  This landmark event commemorates half a century of leadership, service, brotherhood, and excellence at the Capstone. Join us for a series of memorable events designed to honor our cherished history and look forward to our future.

     This anniversary is not just a reflection of our past but a beacon for our future. As we gather to celebrate 50 years of the Kappa Alpha Chapter, let us renew our commitment to excellence, brotherhood, and community. Your presence will make this event even more special.  There will be a follow up correspondence in the coming weeks with details on where to register and remit payment.  Please be sure to share this information with your line brothers and any Kappa Alpha brothers that you are regularly in contact with to ensure we reach as many brothers as possible.
